My Brave the shave
fundraising. I lost my mother in September 2017 she beat the cancer when she was
alive but she peacefully passed away of old age so I did this in honor of her
battle against cancer and in loving memory of her. I am a gay autistic man with
my own website called Alan's Autism Awareness its a website about being both
autistic and gay its a useful website with information to help and educate
people about raising awareness of autism and being apart of the LGBT
community.
My Alzheimers fundraising. My Dad died in February 2018 he was 94
years old he developed dementia in the last year of his life after my mum
passed away the year befor. He peacefully passed away of old age so I did the
Alzheimers Memory walk in memory of him, I went to Harlow a week later to do
the memory walk for my dad. |
Me and the World Naked Bike Ride. In 2019 I had decided to take part in the
world naked bike ride in Clacton on sea I raised £100 for the National
Autistic Society, According to the National Autistic Society, only 16 percent
of autistic adults in the UK have full-time paid employment, while Stonewall
reports that 35 percent of LGBT workers have hidden their sexual orientation
through fear of discrimination. This is something I want to help change I came
up with the idea of managing my own website in a bid to combat the stigma
attached to the developmental disorder and members of the LGBT community by
publishing educational articles. The site also acts as a support hub for those
who are struggling to deal with certain aspects of their hidden disability or
sexuality and want to confide in people who have faced similar adversities.
I decided to start my own website about being both autistic and within
the LGBT community as a way to raise more awareness and encourage more
acceptance of it. I also designed the page to support people as well,
because everyone with autism is different. The hardest part of being
autistic for me, for example, is when there are negative changes to my
plans. I hope this ingenious website, which also runs stories about
Aspergers Syndrome, ADHD, neurodiversity, and cerebral palsy, will
influence more equality and fairness. please check out the website below for
photos of me on the world naked bike ride thanks!
